Camera and Software Advice Pls

The_Eddie

Whats up LTT Community, my friends and I were thinking about making a YouTube channel where we would post skits and game plays. Fist thing we want to get is a camera. What I wanted to know if there was any recommendations (keep in mind we aren't rich!!!). Also if there is any noob friendly video editing recommendations for software to that would be great. Thank You!!!

I recently invested in the canon EOS m. It was a flop on release but makes to be an excellent little video machine http://www.amazon.com/Canon-Compact-Systems-3-0-Inch-EF-M18-55mm/dp/B00A2BVCO0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1390697222&sr=8-2&keywords=canon+eos+m. Its around $360 or so now adays and for the price can't be beat and if you add something like an audio technica shotgun mic, you getting both great video and audio. If you cant do that then I'd suggest using an iPhone or something. Most cameras can do at least 1080p (note 3 can do 4k) and the quality isn't bad.

Edit: Forgot I could say more

My System Specs: (Short list) i7 4770k, GTX 780, many SSD's, a 2 TB HDD(deceased :( ), Corsair 650D. Full list: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/kchriz6097/saved/8dh7YJ

Upgrade Plan: Acquire some Black Noctuas then add 16 or 32GB of 2133MHz memory

Okay, for camera you have a few choices. You can get a webcam, this would allow you to stream your game content on twitch whilst having a video feed of you guys playing. These are fairly cheap but the image quality isnt always the best.

The next is to go for a video camera. such as one which chriz has shown. It is a decent camera and woud allow you to do some more location videos instead of being stuck in from of a computer the whole time. Unless you are willing to take a laptop with you to film.

The last option is a DSLR, this allows you to take video and stills. it will allow you to have control over your image exposure and focus. However you pay a larger premium for this.
