Hello!

I am looking into parts on pcpartpickers.com for my first build ( hopefully started by oct/nov of this year (2019).

My goal here is to list what I have and see if anyone knows how to make it a stronger computer still in my range (with some parts that I will not budge on).  I plan on doing a lot of 3d rendering using Blender, an open-source application, as well as other graphic design tasks.

My Budget range is US$ 850 - 900, including rebates and other offers.

The parts I will not budge are:

The case- Thermaltake View 71 TG

The CPU- AMD Ryzen 5 2600x

Other parts I am currently looking at:

MSI B450-A Pro motherboard

CoolerMaster Masterliquid 120L RGB 66.7 CFM liquid CPU Cooler

Team - Vulcan 2x8 Ram (DDR4 3000)

Seagate Barracuda 2TB HHD

Team - MS30 512GB SSD

MSI Raedon RX 580 8GB Armor OC GPU  (Is this a good card for my intended use?)

EVGA fully modular 550w SuperNova G3 PSU

Currently My overall price w/out rebates is: US$ 982.38

w/ rebates + taxes: US$ 885.37

Honestly, your build is prioritizing looks over performance a lot. The ryzen 2600x comes with a really good stock cooler, and you can get a great tempered glass case (with rgb) for much cheaper than the view 71 TG. I would recommend saving the AIO for a later addition, spending the money on either a r7 2700 or upgrading the GPU to like a 1660 ti. For cases there are plenty of good options in the $100 range. Everything else looks good to me.

I'd go with a 240 AIO, or a very big air cooler.

The View 71 is H U G E and you really want to try to fill it up as much as you can, otherwise it'll look kinda weird.

If you can fit in the budget, I've had a good experience with the Asrock Steel Legend B450 board (the mini-ATX version, there's also in standard ATX). I'd also argue that it looks better than the MSI.

I've heard meh things about the MSI Armor coolers, but the RX 580 itself is great. I'd recommend maybe going with another cooler style, if you want to stick to MSI they've also got better models.

PS: I just saw that you're planning on buying in like 4-5 months. Don't bother looking at prices and components now, everything will be completely different by the time you begin.

You could get more performance with this build, and I think it will still look pretty good.

get the normal 2600 or 2700 almost no difference between the X if you plan on overclocking anyway

better mobo like B450 Tomahawk or Pro Carbon even Pro 4 is fine that A-Pro is not a really good mobo anyway

Get XPG from adata for HDD Seagate Constallation 3TB its seems cheap

PSU get Pure Power 11, GX-F if its as cheap as 70euro or cheaper than Pure Power 11, RMx,TXm, Evga PSU known to be pretty loud so dont get those if it isnt really that cheap.

Dark Pro 4 will suffice if you want AIO get atleast 240 its not like 120 is bad but why do you even want 120 in the first place if you can have a better air cooling like Dark Pro 4, there is still like thermalright macho, Raijintek Tisis and more.

this much should be right if you want to build something around 5 2600X

Wait till 2 weeks before you're gonna build it to ask and plan your rig, prices and availability will change by then.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

Thank You for all your inputs:

Even though I dont plan on building it until fall, I do plan on buying parts when I have the money to get each part, with that said I'd be okay if I go over budget on certain aspects like the GPU and cooling,

The reason I am set on the View 71 is partly aesthetics but also the fact that when I go to clean things the TG swings open on both ends and I would not need that many tools to clean up or change wiring and the internals, or feel like im taking the computer completely to do so.

I have heard great things about the MSI B450A Pro in person and online. But what can I expect to be better if I switched to the Tomahawk or Pro 4 versions?

And yes I am very into aesthetics, I know this... I just am not doing LTT's RGB rig though thats too over the top, even for me... lol

Again Thank You for all your inputs on this for me! and to those who will add more on this topic!!

don't get each part individually, buy them all at once unless there's a big sale or something. otherwise the parts sit for months and if it's DOA you can't just send it back to the store for an exchange. plus you lose some warranty by doing that.

Buy the MOBO and CPU later then. New Gen Ryzen in July :)
