OBS Frame Rate Dropping

I'm trying to record with OBS 64-bit on my Windows 10 pc. Some games I get a  steady 60 fps when recording and other games it drops to 57 or 40. I have no clue why. I've got:

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB

Processor: Intel 4 Core i5-6400 CPU @ 2.7Ghz

A HDD with over 500 gigabytes left

and 8 gigabytes of RAM.

Any help?

what settings are you using?

can you show screenshots from Video tab and Output tab?
 

Also are you getting networking/rendering/encoding frame drops? You can check those in View -> Stats

Games have different hardware demands. If you are playing CPU heavy games, your rendering suffers. If you are playing GPU heavy games, you see fps drops.
