XSPC X20 750 Pump Reservoir Combo

I am very new to water cooling but I want to hook up my own personal rig so my question: Is this a good pump reservoir combo or should I look somewere else? If you don't think that its a good product what do you think I should get then, also what would the price be? If you would like to look more closely at this product here is the amazon.com link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A42X2KY/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2IBMHK23KU580&coliid=I20CI5TKSPRICA. Thanks for all of the help you guys give me!

welcome to the LinusTechTips forums and the new world of water cooling.

that pump/res combo is a fine option for just a CPU only loop. if in the future looking

to upgrade your system to include more water blocks, then that pump will not be of

use to you. the added restrictions of the more water blocks is more than that pump can

really handle and will die a noisy and terrible death. so if you are looking to add more

blocks, then start with a better pump instead. they will be more expensive, but deffo well

worth the loss of headache in rebuying a pump and the system will already be ready for

the new additions.

So any suggestion to a pump and res that I could use. I do plan to add a GPU block and maybe a RAM one if I can get the right RAM but basicly I want a GPU and a CPU block. But I would like to stay cheaper. Thanks for the feedback though.

prolly this one for best in show performance: http://www.amazon.com/XSPC-Dual-Reservoir-Combo-Vario/dp/B008RCERWA/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1390688592&sr=1-1&keywords=xspc+d5

expensive, yes. but you prolly won't have to buy another pump to work with any upgrade.

This set up is the one i ended up going with. it has lots of power and still is compact into the two 5.25bays.

Res

Pump for within res can be any D5 pump desired. but i went with a PWM pump myself. so my cpu fan header on mobo can control the pump speed.

Nice choice. Can't go wrong with a D5. I have the XSPC nylon D5 bayres and like it a lot.

I am probably going to go with the D5 then because it seems good for the price I will just have to save up a bit more. Anyway thanks!
