Hey, everybody,

I have the AOC G2460PF as my monitor. What bothers me immensely, is that in dark sequences or places where the transition is kept darker (see pictures, yes that's so bad and that's not due to any compression or the camera), the whole areas/shadows are displayed extremely squared. On ALL my other monitors this is not the case, these transitions/shadows are normally smooth and without these edges. Originally thought it was the DP cable, but with a brand new DVI-D cable it is as well. Actually it's not like that with a DP to HDMI cable, but I can only get up to max. 60hz with it, which of course isn't the case with a 144hz monitor.

I hope you can help me to finally put an end to this.

This is an unfortunate downside of that monitor, it has been poorly calibrated by AOC and this shows up in the visible dark gradients. Make sure you set the gamma setting to Gamma3 to reduce this as much as possible, but it won't go away.
