Does ShadowPlay decrease disk lifespan?

my current storage setup

 

500gb Samsung 850 Evo (boot drive)

1tb WD Blue 3D NAND (games)

1tb WD Blue HDD (ShadowPlay)

 

So I am wondering if ShadowPlay constantly writing to an SSD would significantly decrease its lifespan? I would like to move ShadowPlay off my HDD so it's not constantly spinning and to reduce noise from my PC. 

 

Would it be worth it to get a 240gb SSD for $20 just to run my ShadowPlay on or just have it run on the 1tb SSD?

How much do you anticipate writing to the SSD?

Anything that reads or writes to a drive "decreases" its lifespan. This is especially true on spinning rust.

From what I read the newest OBS version can do a Shadowplay-like recording into the RAM until you actually save it. It's called Replay Buffer I think, maybe look into that?
