so I had windows on my Ssd and I have a drive as well I just installed my m.2 and put windows on it all fine. I did fresh install... all my stuff is

on my hard drive and ssd games and programs etc how do I get them on here now? When I type in the software nothing comes up. Sorry if it’s a noobie  question  this is my first time doing this cheers

The programs should still be there if you didn't format the drives. Try going in Explorer and see if the drives pop up there.

Yes I’ve fixed it now hard drive wasn’t in properly so wasn’t showing haha. Windows files are all still on my old SSD can I go ahead and delete them now it’s on the M.2

If you did a fresh install on the M2, then you can delete/format..... whatever you want with the HDD.

When you clean install Windows, you need to re-install your programs.

For a clean install, you'll have to reinstall the majority of your applications, but you may be in luck with your games. Most launchers (e.g. Steam, Battlenet)  have a feature where you can point to where you have the game/s installed and it will update the registry without you needing to download and reinstall the entire game. You'll of course still need to reinstall the respective launchers to do this.

 

Here's the Steam guide to do this, but you'll need to flex your Google-fu for your other launchers. If you are using Steam, once you've linked up your Steam games library, you can move the individual games to your SSD by right-clicking the title, then Properties, then Local Files, then Move Install Folder. Create a new library on your SSD (if one doesnt already exist), then select that as your destination.
