As the title says, a friend of mine gets this every time whenever he wants to launch a mod for Skyrim known as Skyrim Together. Already spoke with the devs and they said that most likely is a problem outside of their mod since nobody was getting this especially with Skyrim SE.

We tried anything that you would usually find on google when troubleshooting this, scanning for viruses, rebooting, running SFC, doing a chkdsk, running as admin.

Process appears in task manager but the program doesn't open, you get what I mean.

If I were to open it multiple times, it would just create multiple instances of the process.

We can't really find any other program that does this.

We also tried fresh installing both the mod and Skyrim SE.

Any other possible solutions for this issue ?

make sure he is not running any OSD apps (like discord, Rivatuner Statistics Server [which comes with msi afterburner]) and see if that helps.

He tried without any app open but it is still the same issue.

You have to make sure they aren't running in the background as well.

If I open Asus GPU Tweak II, I can't get iCUE to open like at all. It'll pop up, then close immediately, even with the OSD set to off.

I'd try shutting off everything in the taskbar, and task tray that doesn't need to expressly be on.

Additionally, don't run optimization software at all. I played with the Asus Game Booster, and it was shutting something off that was required for me to run 3D Mark when I was overclocking and it took me a little while to figure it out. I assumed game booster would be better to testing, but really, if I'm running the OC all the time I'm leaving my normal stuff open. As such, I stopped using it, and bam, 3D Mark started running because whatever needed service was now running fine.
