So I was making my first custom loop, and I was looking at using the h500 for my first custom loop. I have it planned out here, with soft tubing. The red circles are 90 degree fittings and the green circle is a 45 there is a d5 pump below, a 110 reservoir, a 120mm rad at the back, and a 280 up front. Thoughts?

120 rad might be a squeeze depending on the graphics card and motherboard. Think you might need to use a fairly thin front rad if that's where you want the reservoir

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Yeah, I am going to have to drill holes in the orange bar, rather than use the ones that are there. As for the rad, I think it fits as I have seen it fit in other builds. Thanks for input.

Just wanted to put this out there. If you are already looking to move to a custom loop build you might as well get a much nicer case for it. Something similar to the view71. Then you can run several big rads if you want. If your goal is to cool both the GPU and CPU I would aim for dual 280mms or better. Fyi a 280mm rad has almost as much surface area as a 360mm.

140x280 = 39,200

120x360 = 43,200

So only about 10% more, but a 280mm is often times much easier to fit in a case.
