I need some advice

Hey guys, I'm really hating windows 8.1 because I've been having limited internet access for the past 1 month every single fucking day, every 1 hour or so. It is very bothersome and I've been thinking of going back to good old windows 7 but I don't know if my ASUS G75VX will support it or there will be even more problems and I just don't want to buy a new copy of windows 7. I have been thinking of going to linux since its free and I can just download it as a dual boot. But I have a question, will skype, steam my games and everything I want work with it? Or do I need another solution?

It will support it. To install Windows 7 on a Windows 8 machine to just need to boot into the bios (turn off, on and spam f2 & del) and change it from UEFI mode over to Legacy mode. Once in Legacy mode you can actually boot to a Win 7 disc & use the OS.

Problem is I don't want to pay $100 for a win 7 disc and I don't know where to get it....
