Asus Mothership or else

Hi guys, it's quite a while since Asus announced the GX700, but it didn't launch and there isn't a lot of news about it, so anyone knows if it was scrapped? I really need a laptop, but I don't what to take, any suggestion? The budget is around 1500 dollars, and I would love a long battery life (8hrs), and I really don't have any "minimum requirements", since 4 cores and even a gtx1060 should go

What requirements are you looking for in a laptop? E.g: portable ? Weight ? Battery life?

I know, I was searching something like a desktop on the go, but the laptop either runs hot or is impractically heavy, and they are usually low on battery

I'd like something portable with good battery and where I can run AutoCad on, weight not more than 10, since I need it for school.

Have a look at the Lenovo legion Y7000.

8750H + 16GB ram + 1060 6GB.

quite a affordable price and would work well with autocad. It’s about $1100 from a quick search on google.

Thanks, I'll consider this one, my only concern is that the battery life is 5hrs when surfing the web

Ah, yeah was more focused on the autoCAD. My bad! As this laptop is $1100 there’s might be a version a bit more expensive with better battery life.

I was thinking about the Thinkpad T480, but I was concerned about the MX150, but if it runned on my 970m, I think it can runs even there
