Ordering from PCCG issues

Hey guys,

 

I ordered a hard drive on the 22nd, it's now the 25th in Aus and it still hasn't arrived. I selected express with Startrack for the postage. PCCG says it's been shipped, but Startrack says "Freight manifest transmitted" and nothing else.

 

I understand that it's probably not PCCG's fault that it hasn't got here yet, but they did take a long time processing the order, probably 2 days I think.

 

Does anyone know what's going over there? They're usually really quick. It can't be that hard to process and ship a hard drive, right?

Maybe try contacting them and ask what is happening.

it's shipping to your location, if it's marked as shipped it's on it's way.

In my experience, stuff from PCCG usually takes about 1 week to 1 1/2 weeks to ship to me in melb.

I heard somewhere that it's because they're training new employees, but 2 days to process a hard drive? :\

In Melb!? Geeeez! I'm out in Gippsland and it doesn't take that long! Wouldn't it be easier to drive there and pick your stuff up?

Yeh, I do now. I only used to not drive because I am kinda lazy.

I wouldn't be too worried, if it doesn't turn up within a couple of weeks I would get worried.

True, but my current hard drive is on it's last legs and everything is all backed up and ready to go, so waiting is really irritating

So if PCCG says it's shipped and Startrack doesn't seem to have it or started shipping it, what's going on? Is Startrack just not following through with their tracking thing?

True, but my current hard drive is on it's last legs and everything is all backed up and ready to go, so waiting is really irritating

I know exactly what you mean, at one point when I first built my system after about a month my hdd failed and luckily I had a spare one lying around (I lost all of my data though nothing important but dirt three has never worked since) then while the first drive was off being replaced under warranty the spare drive also failed! then I had nothing... both drives were still under warranty luckily though so now I have one as backup.

yeh, end result good but I did love dirt three and I was only half way through but freaking games for windows live man!!

Why not cancel the order and go to a local place if you're that desperate?

I wouldn't get to worried, I live in the Ballarat area and it usually takes 4-5 days.  I always use Aus Post and I've never had a problem. If it doesn't reach you in there promised 2-5 business days, call them or email them.  Never had a problem with them and they should be willing to help
