500-600 CAD PC help

IBojo

Hello. I Recently completed a 2000$ pc build and after a month realized I didn't need anywhere near that much fire power. I sold it, but still would like a decent computer that runs better than my current potato.

I already have a monitor etc from my previous build so no worries there.

I found this part list on the mega thread and was wondering if anyone had suggestions.

Ideally id like it to be under 600$ but if that's not possible ill do what I have to

Thanks for the replies :)

New processors very soon, how long can you wait?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

The 2200G is an overspend, since you don't need the iGPU.

Really the HDV is fine for a Ryzen 3, as long as you don't plan any heavy OCing.

You need dual channel RAM for Ryzen. Don't do a single stick.

120GB SSD boot and 500GB storage is a much more usable amount with minimal performance loss.

Solid deal on that 570 8GB.

Case is up to you. I saved some with this case.

Better PSU for cheaper.

Yea I can wait; it's not really urgent.

Few weeks from now we'll get the announcement for the new products.

@trevb0t Thanks for the list :)

Sure thing. I do recommend waiting around for Zen 2.

If ryzen 5 1600 prices drop any lower you could easily squeeze one of those for a big upgrade.
