Building is usually the better value. Just follow some tutorual videos like from JayzTwoCents.

Here's a good gaming build:

So im pretty new to the PC building and was planning to upgrade my system. I've saved up so i got about 1600 USD in my budget. I was wondering, as a noob like myself is it best to buy a prebuilt pc or try to build my own?

What is your current spec ?

Its a lot of fun to build your own. What are your feelings on RGB? (I feel like a psychiatrist.)

Are you in the US? Are you near a Micro Center? I assume gaming will be the primary use?

Computex is the 28th. You might want to wait to see was Ryxen 3000 has in store.

The UD has been shown to hold a 5.0GHz OC on the 9900K, albeit by the skin of its teeth. If it can do that it can assuredly do any OC comfortably with the 9600K and it's a much less expensive board.

See here for that OC:

2080 isnt worth it for the price/performance, either go for 2080ti or 2070 if u cant afford the ti , getting the 2070 instead will give more room for a cpu, case, cooling or w/e

The 2070 is considered to be the worst value of the bunch from a price to performance perspective. Plus my build came in at $200 under budget, so that can already be allocated to a 9700K/8700K if they so chose.

You're completely backwards... The 2070 is the worst in value, the 2080Ti just behind it. The 2080 is actually at a pretty good price point.

The 2070 is just a glorified 2060 with massively jacked up price, you might as well put a bit more money and get the 2080. Or just save the cash and get the still perfectly capable 2060.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600  Heatsink: ID-Cooling Frostflow X GPU: Zotac GTX 1060 Mini 6GB RAM: KLEVV Bolt 3600Mhz (2x8GB) Mobo: ASUS B550-F ROG Strix (Wifi)  Case: Fractal Design Meshify C PSU: Deepcool DQ-M-V2L
