Current PC Issues

PC Specs:

i5 7500

GTX 1070 Founders

2x8GB 2400mhz Ram

 

Currently the specs listed above are what I have. Before this I had a 1050ti and the improvement in performance was not what was expected. After overclocking both ram and gpu whenever I have a game such as fortnite and OBS open at 720p/60fps and 2500kbps my whole pc starts to lock up at time. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Your processor is bottlenecking your GPU. Streaming and some games will impact it more over some other tasks. Overclocking your GPU made it even worse, the one thing that should be overclocked in your system is the CPU, sadly the 7500 non K is un-overclockable other than raising the voltage and setting it to run turbo, a new, better, more modern CPU is what will improve your experience and performance, Ryzens a good alternative if you are on a budget, some people also will just upgrade to a better CPU that is compatible with their current motherboard, but I don't recommend putting money into outdated parts.
