Need help/recommendations on build

I'm with a locket chip, so my main reason would be that the h5 runs lower RPM speeds because it's bigger and therefore lower noise. I guess ? I'm confused!

everything mentioned yet is better than the intel stock, so it'll improve anyways

and bclk overclocking exists

I have this hardware:

I7 8700 non k

Corsair lpx 16gb

Evga gtx 1060 6gb

2 x nvme 970 evo

Cooltek U2 case

I need a psu (atx) and a cpu cooler, and I am kind of on a budget.

Looked at this psu:

be quiet pure power 11 400 watt (but is 400 enough for my parts?)

Looked at these coolers:

Arctic freezer 33 esports one

Hyper 212 black edition

Anyone that could point me the right way?

The two coolers cost the same in my country. The psu price is alot better than the corsair gold rated ones, and there's a good price step from 400 to 500 watt.

Thanks in advance :)

yeah 400W is fine but i still would want the 500W. Cooler those 2 is good so go for the cheaper 1

the black would perform a little better (like 1-2 degrees), but 212's mounting is a real challenge on it's own

a gamaxx 300 should be enough for a 8700 tho

But why go up to 500 then? I can't overclock, and there will never come more hardware ind the build.

So of the two you suggest arctic?

Gamaxx I don't like the design on :/

Even if there was, you would have the room. My overclocked i7 and titan pull 400 watts from the wall at full load, you could certainly stuff more graphics horsepower in there down the line.

They reduced the headache aspects from the 212 Evo, the black installs a little more neatly now.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

well idk if you wanted to add R VII or Vega, its ok to have 500W its not everkill, if you want overkill its 600 or more (there is some circumstances)

Hmm, I could get 400 watts CM model or 500 watts normal at same price.

But you both think 212 is better to choose over arctic? I'm also thinking about noise levels.

i suggest to look up the price difference with the 34 series tho

then I'd get it without modular cables

33 vs black: yes

34 duo vs black: no

well just go for those 2, its not like it will be worse than stock intel cooler.

Thanks. Hope they both perform better than be quiet pure rock slim? I have one of those in similar older build.

Do you know if the psu from be quiet have fan stop like corsair?

Then I will go for the 500W psu, I know it's bad to be cheap in that area :) thx!

Haven't seen the 34 duo, will check prices here.

it's iirc semi-fanless. so it spins, but slowly

I bought the non modular one :) 500 watts.

I also found arctic freezer 34. One fan is same price as 33. Duo fan is just a couple of bucks more here In Denmark? But now I'm going closer to the h7 price tag?

well you can save money by going for 212 or just go for H7 if this really is the case.

So it's more like this performance wise?:

H7

Arctic 34 duo

212 black

Arctic 33

yeah pretty much, if you dont want to spend anymore money on this PC i would rather buy H7 and see how long the fan will last, probably like 5 years (if you do cleaning and stuffs).
