I know this is a very generic question... but this is my first build, so please help...

I hit the power button and nothing happened, no fan, no screen, except for a small LED on my case that lit up. All my components are newly bought from amazon, so there probably aren't any DOA components. Here is what I've done so far:

I installed ram, making sure both sides clicked in.

Installed my cpu core, following the notches on the socket.

Applied thermal paste and installed a cooler.

Screwed my motherboard to the risers on my case and added an IO shield

Wired all my front panel cables: pwr led, pwr sw, hdd led, reset, usb3, usb2, hd audio and sys/cpu fan cables to the correct headers

Installed my PSU, powering my mobo with a 24pin and my cpu with a 4+4

Installed a nvme m.2.

Finally I connected my monitor to my IO using a hdmi

I haven't added a graphics card yet.

Am I missing any steps?

I wouldn't rule that out so fast. Not like Amazon has magically lower DOA rates than other retailers.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

I buy so much hardware from eBay, never had an issue like that before. Try to find out what parts may be malfunctioning, if any.
