Is this considered normal??

Hi guys, 

So I just notice something while looking at HWMonitor.

The max speeds of my stock 2600 is 4.2ghz and even one of them went up to 4.7.

 

I thought it's max boost was 3.9? Total noob here by the way. Is this normal? For Ryzen or CPUs in general to go waaaaaay above the supposed clock speeds?

it was reported incorrectly. HWMonitor is known to do that sometimes.

Thanks. That just made no sense to me when I saw it.

Use HWInfo. Not HWMonitor.. Check off 'Sensors Only' when you go to run the program, though..

It's way more accurate and widely used on this forum as well as everywhere else.. I used HWMonitor first myself until I noticed what you noticed..
