strange problem

slash407

After buying another hdd i had 4 in total installed inside. 1ssd and 3 hdd

My computer started acting up, like the biggest storage drive would sometimes dissappear and just recently my computer would hang just before the login screen upon bootup.

Is there a limit to how many hdd's u put inside your computer, some people have told me this could be ur issue....................dell inspiron 518

Don't forget one could be going bad, which would hold things up on boot.

Start checking the drives with the manufacturer (of the drive) software for drive health (WDDiags, Seatools, etc)

May I get more specs about your system?

Reminder

The IIA rule applies here:

I'm mostly speaking from experience so what I say may not work

I may be a complete asshole in some threads but I swear that I won't lie

Anyways, I am always glad to help

Could also be a power issue if you are still using original dell power supply.
