haha the 960's where a "dont worry son im smarter because im older, 2 is better then one" deal

so 2080>1080ti>2070?

That's right. You can make your own decision based off pricing.

AMD is also a little confusing. Their high-end cards are the AMD Radeon VII and RX Vega 64.
The AMD Radeon VII is close in performance to a 1080 ti
The RX Vega is close to a 1070 ti.

Okay so, I've had my Current GPU's for about 4 years now, theyve served me well but I think they are starting to die.

I recently upgraded my CPU and motherboard and RAM from FX-8350, 8GB and AM3+ Socket mobo to an i5-8600K, 16GB.

The GPU's I'm using are two GTX 960 4GB, I was wondering, if it would be worth it to upgrade to say an RTX 2070 or if I can an RTX 2080 or hell if upgrading to them is too much and I should get a GTX 1080 TI

Also you may laugh at my stupidity for getting 2 960's

Wow you read my mind. 2 960's made me chuckle... maybe it was a buy one get one free deal? ?
Any way, 1080 TI's can be had for cheap, and they do out perform a 2070, but obviously not a 2080. It'll depend on how much you like ray tracing, and what prices you can find them at.

Well. You could get the 1080ti used, it's around £500 which is really good. Or...you could get this new vega 64 nitro+ for £360. It's an amazing price because of AMD's 50 anniversary sales. Get it while you can. You get the best cooler design of any Vega 64, it performs close to a 2070, and it's way cheaper. The 2070 should be avoided at all costs. It's overpriced and a joke.

It's either this or a used 1080ti I'd say.

You can tweak the card and easily have it consume less power and lower temperatures. And this is one of the best cooler designs you can get, it won't be that hot really.

And by the way, the 1080ti isn't exactly cool and quiet either.

And as for naming schemes, I'd rather there was 5 or 6 cards to choose from rather than the endless amount of Nvidia cards. Soon they'll be releasing a 2070ti and 1650ti to muddy the waters even further. In a few months we'll have a lineup consisting of a 1650, 1650ti, 1660, 1660ti, 2060, 2070, 2070ti, 2080, and 2080ti. I mean...how many cards do they have to do. AMD have it right here. They have the 570, 580, 590, Vega 56, Vega 64 and Radeon VII. If anything it's Nvidia who's confusing us all here.

There's nothing wrong with buying AMD, don't let the haters brainwash you.
