I have a Gigabyte Z390 ITX board (Gigabyte Z390 I AORUS PRO WIFI) with an E key wifi slot containing support for an Intel CNVi interface Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac.  Intel 9560  SoC Wi-Fi: CNVio (Intel proprietary bus inspired by the DPHY low power interface)  is what the E slot can support, but will it support a 9260 which is A/E slot card or an A/E adapter?

A  A/E slot adapter will fit in an E slot, but will it be recognized, as I need to use a Broadcom BCM94360CS2 card of which the adapter is made for, but since the interface and or pins are A/E on the adapter, not E alone

I tend to think, there will be an issue, or even possible damage, to card/adapter/slot / or MB, if I try this without questioning compatibility first. The Intel card is not recognized completely, other than "Bluetooth Only", by the OS I am using, and this would leave only an external USB wifi option. This is why I want to use the Broadcom card noted above, with an A/E pinout adapter, to this card's std slot on the carrier.
