Bottle neck

Whenever i play blackops3 the frames arent as high even tho i have a 1070 ti it shouldnt be like this 

Cpu-Ryzen 5 2400g

Gpu-1070 ti

Motherboard-Tuf b450 plus

Ram-8gb i dont remember the speed but i think its around 2k

What is the cause and if there is anyway to remove it

Those are the causes, Ryzen loves high speed RAM, so at 2K you shouldn't expect high frame rates, and if you only have 1 stick of RAM that even furthers the bottleneck (Single channel vs Dual channel)

 

but either way we're talking First Gen Ryzen here (or Zen), it's not great even if you optimize it with all the things mentioned above

Single 8GB? Low frequency like 2133MHz? Your memory bandwidth might be reducing performance.

ryzen loves fast memory (above 3000MHz), so that may be your culprit.

So its not the graphics card? If yes then i am so happy does getting 8 more gigs help in a noticable way like 20-50 more frames?

Capacity of RAM isn't the main issue, the speed is. I would suggest you pick up a brand new 16GB kit of RAM of at 3000MHz, preferably 3200MHz. Dual Channel and faster RAM should help.

Does playing with the current ram hurt anything cuz i wont be able to buy the 16 gb until 4 months

Playing with the current ram only hurts as much as it already has, you're bottlenecking your GPU. Second dimm would help a ton, so make it a priority to upgrade as well as overclock your current ram.

Why get the 2400G plus a 1070ti? Your ram also is probably holding it back

No it does not hurt the gpu.But you will not get max fps out of your card.

Having higher RAM latency will hurt your game play to some degree, especially with ryzen chips. 

 

Also, if you can spare some CPU time please come get involved, we are helping science nd competing against other tech communities.
