Note: This is my first post so if i get anything wrong let me know.

The pc i originaly build was for a buget of £300 and has recieved minor upgrads since. I was wondering if i should upgrade it or start fresh as i prefer up to date hardware. I have about £800-£1000 to spend and was thinking starting fresh with a 9600k 2060 kind of system.

Pentium G4560 (stock cooler)

Asrock 250hmv

8GB of hyperx fury ddr4 2133 (2x4)

Gigabyte GT 1030 2gb low propfile

240GB Kingston sata SSD

500GB HDD

Cheap non-Branded case

Evga white lable 500w psu

Im ok to keep the storage although a m.2 for a bootdrive would be nice.

USES:Heavy gaming, youtube content creation photo editing and more.

If you can find an i7-4790k and mono for around $200 and you'll have a kickass streaming box from basically nothing. But you have to decide if that's worth the money. Heck even a midrange Zen (OG) processor could do alright for around the same price or cheaper

The used market is going to be flooded with old Ryzen chips. Who knows, maybe 2600's may go as low as $100...?

I really hope so as my system right now is absolute crap. A Ryzen 3 1200 would be a 79% performance boost. I’m holding out for prices to drop and then hopefully I’ll be able to upgrade too.

I got a ps5 and a pc pretty ballin

Don't worry my guy, I am in the same boat. I am holding out for these 3000 series chips to drop in order for me to be a happy camper and Ryzen owner

I was thinking about doing it half and half, gpu psu and case now and wait until zen 2 and reavaluate the mobo cpu heatsink. I know my system would bottle neck with a 2060 but would it be that bad of an experience ???
