i7-8700k wont OC

I've been OC'ing my 8700K since it released and for some reason today when I booted up, my monitoring software, along with others, were displaying the Clock speed to be at 3.7, I booted into bios and changed the settings but they didnt seem to change the clock speed. Not sure if the monitoring is broken or anything as the fan speed and temp is displaying 0 degrees.Hoping someone can help me as im not sure what to do/dont want to mess up anything. https://gyazo.com/0f59d82b5c1ee07b31cc706fbab51ee3

Yeah , but when I went to save, it said I didnt make any changes for some reason.

How can I ss it? I didnt actually set the settings manually I used the presets as thats what I had done previously, however for some reason they've just stopped working

That's base clock, so if it's here it's not even using turbo, try using some other software to monitor the clocks.

Lol, don't use task manager. It's told people their CPUs were running at 25Ghz, it tends to get rather confused when you OC. CPU-Z is much better.

i wnat to see if they are displaying the same thing as to if its a hardware issue not software

Task Manager is not the software you use as a control for testing, lol. That'd be CPU-Z. 

 

OP, what mobo are you running? Do you have C-states and Turbo boost and such off? I find that if I disable Turbo Boost when manually OCing it just sits at the base clock.

Asus Z370-E , turbo boost is on. I think its just the software I was using that was messing up.
