Jayztwocents did a video recently where he bricks a laptop and brings it back..

One thing to notice is that he did that by overclocking an 8750h. What? I thought the 8750h is locked right? How did he overclock with xtu?

It is locked, but it doesn't mean you can't oc it a little

Like Jay said, XTU can break BIOS limitations to a certain point. Of course, when you use XTU to get around BIOS limitations, the sort of thing that he showed is likely to happen, and if your laptop has a warranty sticker covering a screw, you've lost your warranty. If it's not user-serviceable, you've lost your laptop,

If you are in the US, warranty if void stickers are not enforceable anymore. Outside of US, I'm not sure what the rules are.

but it doesnt even give me the option to change it for me (i have 8750h too). why does origin even let you do this in the first place?
