For your purposes here, I've got some possible change ideas:

For CPU cooling one could grab the

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/JYCD4D/corsair-h100i-rgb-platinum-750-cfm-liquid-cpu-cooler-cw-9060039-ww to further your RGB theme. Great AIO, a few bucks less.

Both are probably overkill, and you could probably happily get away with the

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/RcdFf7/cooler-master-masterliquid-ml240l-rgb-667-cfm-liquid-cpu-cooler-mlw-d24m-a20pc-r1

For the MOBO it's hard to argue the value of the

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/Hy97YJ/msi-b450-tomahawk-atx-am4-motherboard-b450-tomahawk

Could save plenty on RGB RAM. I like the look of

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/rsWfrH/corsair-vengeance-rgb-pro-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3000-memory-cmw16gx4m2c3000c15

Also for just a few bucks more, I'd go up the the RMx series on the PSU.

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/3zNypg/corsair-power-supply-cp9020090na

idk about the cpu coolers, first one is way too much RGB for me. I like stuff simple and plain tbh. Thats why I picked the h115i. The ram is also kinda simple but Iv watched videos and seen the effects you can do with it so yh. Also the motherboard I am getting will be an x570 when it gets released.

You don't need NVMe for booting, there isn't a benefit that's worth the price.  Not when you can get a 1TB SSD for the same price as that 970 EVO.

Do some research on NVMe vs SATA for booting/gaming, then make your decision.

Which would you prefer then? the 1tb ssd or the samsung 970 evo? And also isnt booting in a SATA a lot slower than an nvme drive?? I heard it is

Do some research.  It's been tested.  Many many times.  Games and Windows being loaded over and over.

So look at my sig, it will tell you what I would do.  Cuz I did it, for boot as well as storage. NVMe isn't worth the price premium.  Only way it is if you can get the new QLC drives (the 2000/sec ones) for the same price as TLC SATA drives.  Like the Intel 660p 1tb for example.

If you want an M.2 for no cables and little cute sticks of SSD love... go for it :)  That's why I got the 2 860 EVOs, nice and small and cute.

Boot times on SATA SSD is going to be like 6-10 secs either way.

NVMe is for people who create and handle massive video files, etc.

In gaming performance, there is no difference.

If the price is similar, why not grab it? But if not... I'd put that somewhere else in the budget.

When you consider that the RGB radiator on that AIO could be placed into the front of a case that doesn't contain any fans, it becomes much less overbearing. Then it just looks nice!

I personally think an all black build looks really sexy.

Someone please tell me what storage to get, im hella confused rn

This is the bottom line of it:  You won't really notice the differences, even if the NVMe drive does perform faster.  A second or two here (Windows boot or game load), or a fraction of a second there (launching Excel or Word) really won't be something you notice is appreciate.  Not like you will using SSD over HDD.

Get what you can afford, you'll love the speed of either.

Watch your wording.  You just said SSD, which is true.  NVMe vs SATA is different than SSD vs HDD.

Both a SATA and an NVMe are SSDs. So they aren't lying. An SSD vs a HDD are two different arguments.

lol I meant an SSD and HDD. Ok so SATA is cheaper than an NVMe and they preform very similar. But in stuff like video editing or rendoring NVMe is more favourable as they preform better for that role. But for normal browsing and gaming SATA would be better. Correct me if im wrong

Mostly correct. SATA SSD is just ultimately much more affordable. NVMe technically performs better in almost all areas, it just isn't going to be a notable difference for gaming or general computing when you consider the extra cost.

You would have paid more for a nice drive and enjoyed your PC and been happy and content with life :)  Then bought another sooner than you would have otherwise due to having less space.

In the grand scheme of things, not a big deal no matter how you slice it.

Don't forget, in a forum like this people will get much more intense about the little differences and a few bucks than is probably warranted.  :)

Enjoy your machine when you finally get it built.

personally... the Gen3x2 PCIe NVME drives are just as expensive as their SATA counterparts (in terms of capacity) and if I were building a rig tomorrow, that's where I would toss my money.

Also... 3850X... ? OMG. DO WANT.
