Help please

Hi my name is nate,

 

qyestion 1 \/

i have been wondering will my pc bottle neck if i pair my cpu with a rx590 (note: my cpu is a amd a10 7800k)

 

question 2 \/

Before that i have been having issues with my games as of late. I meet all requirements for the games i play but even so i still lag (note: i do not have my rx590 currently installed) so bottle necking wouldn't be the culprit here. So i was thinking maybe it would have to do something about my integrated graphics or something else.

 

Please help i have gone insane from this.

What GPU do you currently have?

Depending on the game even with your current GPU, your CPU could still be holding it back if the game is more CPU bound.

 

I definitely see the A10 bottlenecking the heck out of the RX590.

Your CPU is from 2014, and it's a low end CPU from 2014. What games are we talking?

@fasauceome ohh ok. Then what kind of gpu would you recommend me. That could play some demanding games properply like AC series or GTA V on all high that give out reasonable frame rates

At the very most, RX 570. But your CPU will keep you from playing many demanding games at high frame rates.

This is the performance you can expect from a 570, HOWEVER, your low-end CPU would be lowering it's performance, so if you were to upgrade to a graphics card of this level or higher you will need to get a better CPU to unlock it's full power.

@Tika thank you. But if i were playing battlefield or some other games. What settings should i lower to get both my gpu and cpu to work in harmony

oh definitely not, modern battlefield games are very hard on the CPU. Although if you get the 570 and later upgrade the CPU to Ryzen you'd do a lot better.

@Tika would it cause any hindrance when im editing? Me have a low end cpu and a rx590?

Some editing software uses one more than the other, but most of the time you need both to be good for optimal editing.

@Tika i use premiere pro for basic work and after effects for heavy duty. And media encoder to render all my videos would that cause a problem?

Those programs are more graphically intensive than cpu yet still need the cpu for support, if your mind is this stuck i would get the card and get a new cpu down the line.
