Hi everyone,

I'm pretty new to networking, so please let me know if I'm missing something obvious.

I've bought a house and I'm currently looking into finally setting up a decent home network. To keep a long story short, everything is going to be 10 Gb and there will be several small, low-powered PCs hooked up to TV screens for Youtube/Netflix/streaming from a home server. I'm also planning on putting some mid-range gaming hardware in that server, so that it can run VMs for some casual gaming on those TV screens. This box would also be acting as a Mumble and Minecraft server for my friend group.

My question: I'd prefer doing all of this from one box. Because it will be acting as a Mumble/Minecraft server, it needs to be connected to the outside world, but I'd like the NAS portion to only be accessible from internal IPs. Is this at all possible? Like I said, I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to networking and I get this is a very broad question, so if you guys could point me in the right direction to do some more research, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!
