Ever since I bought my first mechanical keyboard I hated it for these reasons: I got knockoff blue switches that pretty much have a travel distance of the earth to the sun and the switches are loud, intact way louder than my friends cherry mx blues and have a massive difference with the travel distance.

One day one of my friends came over with a “gaming” membrane keyboard and I liked it because it is silent and when typing you can slide your fingers down to that one key below you. And his keyboards membrane keys felt good to type on with a low travel distance and it almost felt like a cherry mx brown.

so now I am thinking about buying a “gaming” keyboard with membrane switches and I am looking for a cheap one so I would like some help also while you are looking please use an Australian website cos most American tech is unbelievably budget friendly and in Australia a 40$ keyboard would be 90$ for us for some retarded reason. And can get some suggestions of good cheap mechanical keyboards with red or brown switches because that would appreciated too.

P.S sorry for the essay

I use the Razer ornata chroma which is a membrane and I like it a lot. I got it for dirt cheap, $40 new at Walmart on clearance so I can’t compare to other keyboards. It’s definitely not quiet but no where near as loud as my buddies max blue switch keyboard
