Hard drive upgrade

So I have a laptop with windows 10 and my product key is attached to my mircosoft account but I want to up grade my memory if I do will I have to buy a new product key

You want to upgrade your storage or your memory? either ways you wouldn't need a new key.

 

If you want to add more memory you just throw another RAM stick on it and done, if you want to replace your boot drive just clone your current one into the new one and also done.

Clonezilla is one way to go, there are tutorials on how to use it on youtube... however you'd need an actual PC you can hook up both drivers to.

Clone it off to a img file to a separate drive with anything really like EaseUS todo backup

 

Then simply just after copying boot into Windows 10 on pendrive on the same machine and write the image to the new drive and then it should be done
