Is there a way I could share a single GPU(1080) between several computers? And by share, I mean have the GPU detected and operate as a native GPU instead of having to ssh into a separate computer housing that GPU. Another way to put this would be - run graphics off a GPU that is plugged into a different computer which is powered on, that just serves the purpose of running that GPU for all the computers having access to that GPU.

No not really.

Direct access to the hardware can only be done by one os at the time. For example you run into a similar issue if you try to access the hardware through a vm (gpu passthrough for example). You can't do that until you tell the host os not to access the hardware.

If you find any grammar or spelling errors please fill out entry permit A38, thanks.
