Wants

- Long battery life

- Bright screen for the occasional outdoor work

- Backlit keyboard

- A nice typing keyboard for long sessions of writing

- Decent CPU for video and photo editing

- 8gb of ram minimum

- 256gb of storage minimum

Price no more than 2 thousand Canadian

2015 Macbook Pro, Huawei Matebook X Pro, Dell XPS

 

Any of those 3 laptop line-ups check all the boxes you. Keyboards can be subjective, so it might be best to find those laptops at your local electronics store to test them out.
