Building a Budget PC, need some advice

Hey guys i already posted at the gpu section but might as well write the whole build.

So i'm from Georgia (the country) (not the state) it's under Russia, above turkey, next to the black seas... yeah... yeah... that's the one.

so currently i've got
ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5KPL-AM (Socket 775) motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00GHz Wolfdale 45nm Technology
4.00GB Dual-Channel DDR2 800mhz
Evga gtx 460 v2 1gb gddr5 192bit Vcard (it's pretty good, it's as powerful as gtx650 1gb if not better)
298GB SAMSUNG HD322HJ ATA Device (SATA )
500w EVGA PSU
768p monitor 60hz
it's pretty sh*t i know, so that's why i decided to upgrade from socket 775 to any other one (thinking of 1155) my budget is probbobly around 500lari(ლარი) that's about 185USD (for the record i'm not thinking of building completly new pc just "upgrading" (meaning i'm sticking with 500wpsu,298gb HDD and might stick with gtx460 dunno). so here's what i'm planing:

1155 socket Mboard it's price range varies between 80lari(ლარი) $30 to 120lari(ლარი) $45
i3 or i5 (i found i3 - 3240 for 70lari(ლარი) $26 and i5 - 2500k for 110lari(ლარი) $41)
so as i said i might stick with gtx460, but someone told me,on the gpu section, where i asked which was better gtx660 2gb or gtx750ti which are about 150lari(ლარი) $55 (i was thinking of buying one for a time) , to opt for either gtx950 170-180lari(ლარი) $63-67 or gtx960 180-200lari(ლარი) $67-75, so what's your opinion about that ?
8gb ddr3 ram (which i couldn't found for bargain it's mostly round 100lari(ლარი) $37)
i'm sticking with my 500w psu
and with mt 768p monitor, i just don't need a fullHD one or something like that, i'm pretty happy with what i've got ^^
so the price range is between 400lari(ლარი) $150 to 520lari(ლარი) $193 so you might think $43 difference isn't much but for me 120ლარი is pretty big number (more like medium size but still :d)

i'll be using it for gaming though i'm just a player ;_; (i don't play too much games, but) i'll be playing more open world games such as Assassin's Creed series and GTA V of course, i'm crazy about AC though, i might play some shooter too like Battelfied 1 really intrigues me newer one i don't really like that much. TBH i'm alright playing a game with 30fps at768p medium-high settings, but if i'll be able to play a game with more fps at high-very high setting high you wont find any man happier than me. thank you, good bye, have a good one...

P.S for those who think this isn't that much capable system i can play Gta v with 768p mostly low just reflections, water at high and also anisotropic filtering x16 oh and fxaaon msaax2 (the reason being the gpu it really is an old beast i could find it for cheap for 100lari $37,before that i had gt610 1gb (it couldn't paly sh*t) and this old 460 was a fresh air for me only thing was that cpu was bottelnecking it was mostly at 99% usage and gpu was at 20-35% that's why i put a few setting up gpu suage got from that to 65%, i was playing it visync-on at 30fps most of the times, though it dipped to lower 20s to high 10s (dual channel cpu was the problem i guess) that's why at first i wanted to get a good 775 cpu like quad q9650 or something but i though it wouldn't be more capable of upgrading and might as well buy a newer socket Mboard (Assassin's creed Origins and Odissey were probably the reason as well it not being reales on socket775). i aslo could play Assassin's creed IV  Black Flag at 768p medium with round 30fps.
i don't know why i wrote all these but it may help you some day, just a return for your suggestions or help, more info, so yeah that's it, goodbye for now...

P.S.S i 'd like to go for more intel and nvidea product i know the amd and all of thole other companies product are good as well, but i jsut don't get it, i'd prefer intel cpus and nvidea gpus

I would go for a 2500k with 2x4 GB ddr3 and keep the gpu you've got. Maybe upgrade to a 7950 if you can get one for cheap and want to go for 1080p.

I would recommend a ssd for 20 $ (kingston a400). You will notice the difference. Not in gaming but in quality of life.

You know your computer is old when it still has parallel, serial, and PS/2 ports.

ok i will advise for some 4c/8t cpu's rather than gpu, you can go low right? atleast it will be playable (no stutter bullshiterry or whatever else), also like 8gb preferably 16gb
