Aours monitor displayport input

Hey

I purchased the Aorus AD27QD monitor and I saw that it supports hdr but has a displayport 1.2 signal input.

I looked online and saw that only displayport 1.4 supports hdr, how is it possible that the monitor supports hdr?

Do I need to purchase a displayport 1.4 cable for it to work? Or will it work on displayport.1.2 as well?
