Cpu temp question

Okay guys so I have a question , in some games actually most , my cpu temps jump like crazy from 40 to 50 , 50 to 70 , 60-90 but fast they go back n forth n I noticed something weird w resident evil 2 remake the temp stays steady like the gpu temps .. was at 50 most of the hours I played would go down or up 1 degree every now n than but nothing like other games that keeps the temps jumping every second why is that ?

Since your FPS is reading 60, seems like VSYNC is enabled which is keeping your load at a constant rate instead of wildly varying as a result of the game loads.

It literally says it on his screenshot ‘G sync on’

 

i assume he has it on in all games. If so, doesn’t explain the temp jumps.

Gsync is completel different than Vsync. Vsync locks your refresh rate to your panels refresh rate. Gsync smooths out your frames to when in between a certain range to prevent screen tearing from the frames becoming out of sync.

I have g sync enabled , v sync on in nvidia panel , v sync off in game , reason is I play in a 4k 60 hz monitor .. n if I turn off v sync nasty tearing I get .. but yeah my cpu temps just crazy up n down on most games except RE2 remake

Nvidia panel will trump any in-game setting. Gsync is what was developed to resolve tearing. Turn off vsync and just let Gsync do its job. its why you paid the premium for Gsync.

My monitor has FreeSync but if I turn off v sync IN NVIDIA PANEL & IN GAME I get really nasty tearing .. it seems the only way I can play smoothly is w v sync on in nvidia panel & off in game
