Help with upgrading ram

I currently have TEAM GROUP ELITE 32GB (2X16GB) DDR4 PC4-19200C16 2400MHZ DUAL CHANNEL KIT - BLACK ram and i have a i7700k CPU

 

I’m wanting to change this due to the fact that my current doesn’t have XMP and I can’t do much with it. 

 

I was was looking at getting trident z g skill rgb 3200mhz CL14 32gb

 

i’m pretty set on on trident z g skill just

not sure which one.

 

any suggestions before I go for this?

so just run them as is? If you want more performance, upgrading the CPU is always better than Samsung B-die memory kits just by the price alone.

Not really a difference with RAM speeds on Intel ringbus. No need to upgrade.

Ok cool.  Your memory does have a XMP profile as the motherboard supports it.  Are you just trying to overclock it?  Is the CPU kicked up a few notches as well?

I mean tbh to a lot of people this sounds stupid but I’m a streamer and I play FPS games etc for me even if I gain a few frames i’m happy, wether this would truly make a difference or not I’m not Looking for a giant improvement but any improvement from my current rig I will take.

Oh it doesn't sounds stupid.   Most of us look for ways to gain a few FPS out of our systems on the cheap.  But as mentioned, upgrading the ram will offer very little to no effect

to your frame rates.  

 

So I would highly recommend putting that money into your upgrade jar.  Overclock the 7700k the best you can for now.  When you can afford it, upgrade the motherboard and CPU.  I am willing to bet you are still getting rather respectable frame rates with your current system though.

I am yes but at times when streaming my frames can be low due to streaming in a high resolution etc so I really need something to help maintain the game and all the programs for streaming
