Hello I just had a question has anyone ever used both of these switches? I'm in love with cherry reds but they keyboard i want only has silver and silent red variants. I tried the red silent switches and they are god awful! very squeaky/ scratchy switches. Ive read that the silver switches are the same thing but just have a shorter actuation point. Do they actually feel the same? Because they said that about the silent reds and thats not the case haha.

They feel the same.. except lighter, which to me make the Silver switches feel less 'mushy' than Reds.

i have a corsair k65 rgb i love the feel of the switches they dont feel mushy. Ive tried browns and they have this weird tactile bump to them when pushing them down and its annoying. i would like they switches to feel a bit lighter tho if they feel the same and are lighter that sounds ideal.but no too light lol

Just get Gateron Clears then, the lightest switch on the market.

Yeah, Browns are weird switches.

Of course I can only judge from my personal experience, but I like Silver better than Red, but you should probably form your opinion by for example trying it out in a store.

Im not looking for a light switch. since regular mx red switches are not offered with this keyboard only silents (tried them they are terrible) and i heard that silvers feel the same. minibios said they feel a bit lighter which i thought wouldnt be bad id rather that then them feeling heaver

Going over 45g which is what a cherry red is for switch weight would be in some peoples eyes "heavier" for a switch. I found myself reds way to light and ended up going much heavier for a switch. If you don't rest your fingers fairly heavy on your keys silvers would be ideal.

To be honest I'm not sure if I rest my fingers on my keys haha

When your looking around for keyboards don't be scared away from keyboards with Chinese cherry "clone"  switches. Honestly they feel much better then cherry switches.
