So would i just need to send request to dell support and talk to the service agent about getting it replaced/repaired ?

and if so everything about my argument seems solid for a rma right ?

also thanks, cause i was worried since i threw the box away every since

IIRC, there's a portal you can go to that will let you submit a ticket. Though yeah you can probably talk to an agent.

And absolutely! Swollen batteries definitely make you legible for an RMA

So i have never sent back hard ware, but my current laptop, i bought last summer, is giving trouble

at first there were driver errors1 were would crash often but then that eased off as time went on

then i started to notice power problems2, where couldnt detect the power of charger and crash

but recently , actually this morning saw that battery is fully swollen3, its 99wh battery

and system is still in warranty, i know i can send it back , but how do i go about doing this ?

i have the right to request a new laptop right?

given that they were defects in system?

also i dont have original box it came in would that be a problem ?

You need to contact your manufacture of the laptop to start the warranty/RMA process.

You'll send an RMA request to dell, then when they approve it they'll they'll walk you through the process

You won't need the box

Contact Dell, they will run you though some troubleshooting and general question. They will give you a ticket number and setup for a box to be sent to your house, it should have instructions on how to pack the laptop into the box and have a return shipping label. Make sure you tell them all the issues not just the swollen battery.

Sometimes they will just pull you storage media and swap it to a different machine. Sometimes they will just fix the issues.

Absolutely you shouldn't experience a swollen battery while under warranty, is 100% covered.

Yea, I know how you feel years ago I spent $1,400 on a HP and within 3 months i would no longer charge, the 2 usb ports that were direct on the board were dead and the top plate under the mouse button had broke causing the buttons to sink in. I RMA'd it they wanted to charge me almost $300 for everything besides the charging port. I was like FU and fix the charging port only so i can at least use it and threw a big fit at them about it. Got it back and it charged for about a month until it stopped again I contacted them again and threw another fit. They ended up replacing the entire machine besides the two HDDs which they swapped.

That was the first and last HP I will ever buy.

I am sorry to hear that, to be honest with alienware i was never expecting these kind of issues, but i guess this comes with  buying hardware in general

i hope your laptop was usable by then end of all that ordeal

It was and I quickly got rid of it not long after I got it back, I ended up going with a Dell 15" 7559 with 4k touch and i7 machine. I have had this laptop for little over 3 years and not one issue and for almost 2 years it was my only PC and it was on 24/7 hosting plex server ect. Has been a great machine.

It happens sometimes but I know dell will do you right.
