Migrating D:

I have a 1TB HDD for my game library and a few other applications. I have another HDD for files and pictures. I want to migrate the HDD (D:) to a new SSD. 

 

Questions is...

 

I have Acronis Disk Director that I have used to migrate an OS, but I have never used it to migrate a "D:" drive. When I do it...do I just complete the migration...then assign "D:" to the new SSD and remove the old HDD from the system like planned. 

 

Are there steps that I am missing in this plan of mine.

You COULD clone it, but this would be the perfect opportunity to do a fresh install of Windows :P

My rig:

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x

Storage: C : 1TB WD Blue NVMe      D : 2TB Barracuda      E: 240GB Kingston V300 (scratch drive)

BUT...my os is not on my d: i already have my os on a separate ssd and dont want my os on the new 1tb ssd

Just copy-paste your files from the HDD to the SSd then

They are application files. I'm pretty sure that the games/applications wont load
