Will my DAW recognize 64 threads ?

Hey all I have a conern.  Im waiting for Zen 2 ThreadRipper however I am not sure if Sonar Platinum can recognize 64 threads.  If not then a ThreadRipper is out of the question and I will just get a 9900k or Zen 2 equivalent.

You decided on the 9900K the other day.  Or do you really have a need for 64 cores?  Doubtful.

Im sorry, but I don't recall saying I want the 9900k over Zen 2 ThreadRipper.  Im just asking now because I want to see if Sonar recognizes all threads.  Also FYI, I do need a ThreadRipper for my DAW.  Again soo sorry, but I don't remember me saying Im content with a 9900k.  I just want to know if the extra threads be supported.  In Sonar it shows all your threads 12 of them.  I just wanna make sure it will show 64 threads.

Im just a curious cat.  Again sorry for anything Ive done wrong.  Im torn between a 9900k and the upcomgin ThreadRipper that's all.

Nothing wrong, per se.  You're just basically asking the same thing in separate threads over and over.

 

Why can't you just wait til it comes out and see if you want to spend $500 or $2000+?   8 cores vs 64 cores?  

 

They're so mismatched it's not a question of what one is better for you.  It's a question of which do you simply WANT.  Because they're not even comparable in any way.

there is only speculation

 

and fyi many people do way more with less of a system even in semi pro areas

but they got all the other peripherals around

Yeah Im sorry man, I truly apologize.  Im just comparing my 7 year old CPU to a TR that's all.
