Interesting thought

Get an older laptop and build it up to play games, newer ones in fact. Get like an hp 8540p or 8760w, pretty much moduler laptops, and build them up. Ive been doing a little research and seems very feesible. Upgrade the processor (depending on model), new/more ram, upgrade graphics card, and get a SSD, samsung evo for life, and build. I would like to tell you all what it would be like but i do not have enough money for (my dream build) it. Would love to see a video of this being done. Especially LTT doing cause yall are great.

most laptops run proprietary hardware and software so this is usually not a good idea at all.

Even modular laptops with slightly more common parts still use proprietary drivers and software to function.

my experience tells me it will not be any cheaper than a decent prebuilt...

Also most GPU's in laptops are soldered, if they arent they are MXM modules which are rather expensive and probably will not work with the existing cooling system
