40-50 C with H100i v2 and i7 7700k

I’m running a 7700k at stock (4.2) and had my h100i on it I was looking at my temps and saw a constant 46 C at idle and though that was weird so to see if it was a cooler problem I changed to a 212 Evo and saw 40 c idle. On a stress test I saw 80 C on 212 and 83 on h100i.

i could try changing thermal compound. But want to know if it’s my cooler. I’m using AS5 f9r compound.

Try remounting, pasting again, turning up fan rpm and alter pump speeds

That's pretty warm for an AIO

Ok I’ll give that I try what the thermal paste should I use? I don’t have any AS5 left.

If you have any spare stuff from whatever just throw it on and see, otherwise sure go to a store and grab some AS5

I recommend Grizzly Kryonaut - its amazing.

That's a bad mount.  H100i is also known for a wonky backplate too.  Check to see if the backplate is actually keeping the unit pulled against the IHS - if not you have to put in rubber washers to mitigate this issue.  (I have one)
