On 1080P for awhile again

Had to send my Acer Predator XB1 XB271HU abmiprz 27" in for Warranty service. :( ?

 

Sound issues, speaker problems.

 

They told me I had to send it in, free shipping so it's not a big deal.

 

Already miss it. :(

 

So I am on 1080P and 24" monitor for now.

I am running serious overkill now, 1080P with a 2080Ti. ?

 

And it is small compared to the 27".

If there's anything I learned in school, it's that 27 > 24. So it makes sense that your 24" monitor is smaller than your 27" one.

I fucking love my dell to death. It's what my brother and I used to play minecraft and roblox on and it's a decent second monitor for discord and multitasking

Hey 1080p isnt all bad! i have a 1080p 42" tv.. the pixels are like 4 miles wide.. need to get a 4k one really..

Main speaker setup is now;

 

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

 

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)

I still have a few old 1080P TV's too so I know what you mean, 50" Plasma and 37" LCD.

 

I did upgrade to a 55" 4K Smart TV though, big difference, it's worth it.

For the PC I think 1440P is the ticket. :)

 

For a TV there are plenty of options, 4K looks very good.

I think above a certain screen size you need 4K to keep the dpi relatively high, but under a certain screen size i dont think i would need 4k over 1440p, i'd still have to game on 1080p cause i have a 1050ti lol, need to buy a new gpu aswell ,-,

Yeah, you would need at the min a GTX 1080 or RTX 2070 for 1440P, that's being realistic if you want to play at reasonably frame rates and settings.
