Hello I know that GPU prices are very high because of mining but i was recommended a 1070 but when I go on part picker they are like 400 some dollars and I saw that 2070 are basically 100 dollars more do you guys recommend me getting a 2070 or is overkill because all I really intend to do is video editing live stream and play some siege and simulator type games and VR any help would be appreciated thanks

Mining is no longer a thing and pricing has absolutely went back to "normal" sans regular deflation of currency and increase/decrease in pricing where the competition cannot meet and still make sales.

1070 is a great GPU, 2070 is better (fact, by around a 30+% margin and for only $100 more that fits my personal bill of at least 10% per $100 spent on an upgrade).  If I were to do what you are suggesting I would go with the newer architecture GPU if I was set on buying something new.

If you don't have to buy it new, save some money and buy it used on Ebay, then I would look at a 1070.  My opinion.

something like a future proof

Ah if only "future proof" was a real thing

Used 1070s are where the value is at, or even a 980 ti. Look to eBay for price/performance at its best.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Well I don't know if I clarified this but this my first build and I was looking something like a future proof so I can play the newest games

futureproofing isn't a thing, just spend less in your case, either go with a rtx 2060 or used 1070.
