Onboard RAID not working?

I've got an issue whereby I can't launch into the RAID utility on my motherboard? It's an Asus Rampage IV Gene. It's meant to be so you hold Ctrl and the I key while booting but it doesn't seem to want to work. Ideas?

A shot in the dark, but did you try with another keyboard? Or does it not show the "press ctrl + i" screen thing?

@Windspeed36 So to be clear you have turned on raid in the bios.  you hit save setting before rebooting?

 

Is the Ctrl + I message showing on the screen during boot.  You should get a black screen with this instruction during boot?

 

Not sure if this is option on that board but turn of fast bios boot option.  it may be preventing the raid option appearing.

 

With the keyboard make sure it is in the ports next to the lan.

It's just a standard keyboard.

Try to not just hold it but continue to smash on the I.

 

If it's anything like onboard AMD RAID then you have to smash that last button until it goes into the utility.

Thats not what i meant, You can change The layout through a key combination. :-)
