So I'm currently trying to get My laptop to the desktop and I'm constantly getting stuck on a BSOD every time on start-up. The OS is Windows 8.1, restarting the laptop each time just takes Me to Windows' Automatic Repair screen which has "Restart" and "Advanced Options" listed. I have tried restarting many times, I have tried using some commands in the command-prompt window which I found on a forum-post via Google but some commands are being recognized and some are not which is a bit odd. I can't even restart the laptop via command prompt because it's unrecognized apparently!! xD

The error code I'm constantly getting by the way is "0xc000021a". I'm at a loss here and I have no idea what to try doing next. Could anyone help Me out? ^_^

Oh and btw, I'd rather not do any clean-installations what so ever as there is a lot of documents/pics/etc.. on My laptop currently.

Thanks.

Hey I'm Xiauj ^_^ Wassup :3

Did you run chkdsk and sfc sounds like you might have corrupted files.

Ok so, I just did "sfc /scannow" in command-prompt and it found some corrupt files and successfully repaired them and has more details in a "cbs . log" file and bla-bla-bla lol, should I press+hold the power button on My laptop to restart it though? Is it fully safe?

Because I tried typing a few shutdown commands in command prompt before and it wasn't being recognized.

Type exit first and see what happens just manually shut it down if you have to

That directs Me back to Windows' Automatic Repair screen with these options.

A) "Continue"

B) "Use a device"

C) "Troubleshoot"

D) "Turn off your PC" < direct shutdown I think it means, not as a restart, Idk.

Okay, if sfc did not fix the issue try looking up a guide on chk dsk

Alright so, after looking at some suggestions on Google/Videos/Forum-Posts/etc., I typed "chkdsk c:/r" and it took an unexpected 2 hours lol, it's saying its scanned and has found no problems. I'm still not able to restart via command prompt so I typed "exit" and let it relax, then shut it down, pressed the button and am still getting the same BSOD/error-code when starting up.

Any other suggestions?

@LeapFrogMasterRace Update:

Soo.. I think it might be the Laptop's HDD that is causing all of this stress on startup. I think it might be fried meaning I'll have to get a replacement.

Just thought I'd post here just to keep it updated :P
