Ah, I couldn't find the Q300L for some reason, that's practically as good a case as the meshify for 1/3rd the price over there, go with that.

A 275GB SSD is not big enough. he wouldn't even be able to get the games he listed on it, let alone an OS and some files.

I was going for performance first, 1440p 144Hz is more demanding than 4k and I figure an HDD can just be thrown in later.

is this going to get at least 144fps at high settings consistantly on games like cod gta far cry etc?

for the most part, yes. You'll be seeing likely above 125 FPS regularly. Or at least, on COD (depending on which one) and GTA for sure.

Okay so my limit is $1500 aud so $1075.42 usd. I want to make a black and white pc that can run cod, virtual reality,cs go, rainbow six seige, far cry etc on high settings at144 fps at least. I also want it to be future proof for at least 5 years. so please leave some links on pc part picker thx.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

If you could spend a tiny bit over the 1500, you could get this:

Get Vega over the rtx 2070, because that will 'futureproof' better because of HBCC. At 1440p, you ain't gonna last 5 years with 8gb vram, not at ultra/high anyways. The vega card performs close to the 2070, but it's much cheaper and you get a better cooler. The other advantages of this build are the 1tb ssd, far more space than that 275gb, and also a far higher quality power supply. I used a silverstone case cause their cases are always really strong for airflow, which will help with the heat of Vega.

I think somewhere in the middle of all these, we have a really good build, lol. I've tried to pick and choose the best parts of each that will hopefully fit in the budget, and gone $40 over, but I think it's absolutely the best you can do for the $$$$. The ASRock board is $20 cheaper, but only has two ram channels, and that's against your 5 year plan IMHO. Also, I couldn't reccomend a SSD under 500GB, and the 1TB is faster, but if you needed to shave those few bucks, you absolutely could shave them there.

You're also going to want more fans, so you can run them all at lower speed and get enough air through the system, and may want to upgrade from the stock CPU cooler, but those can be done here and there, when a few extra bucks comes your way.
