Surface Laptop wont charge even when plugged in

I am trying to charge my surface laptop but when I plug the power adapter in nothing happens and I have tried moving the cable around.

Do you have any LED that lights on?

If not battery is defect or you have a contact that is not working correctly.

Maybe open it up if you are familiar with the hardware of it.

No lights turn on and its not possible for me to open it without destroying it.

Yes the charger can be botched, or the entry to the surface pro where you plug in the wire to charge might be messed up.  Let us know with different charger.

I don't have another charger but I had this problem a few months ago and I didn't have to buy a new charger

It could very well be the cable or the input for for the Surface Pro to charge is messed up.

Only if you open it. But if you are not familiar with those components don't do it without help.

Do you have warranty on it?
