Hey everyone I’m new to this site and I’m a beginner tech so any help/advice is appreciated! I am having a issue with my graphics card. I have a Asus ROG laptop G750 series it’s about 5 years old. It was working fine then I went to update my graphics card and I keep getting update can not continue. The card is not being detected in device manager I’m getting a code that says it’s not connected to the computer (error 45) it’s not so simple as popping it open and reseating it cause it’s a laptop and integrated. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers manually but I get a error message says there is no compatible hardware on the computer. I tried to roll back the drivers to no avail I have tried a roll back the whole system through system restore and also the fan is constantly running on high like I’m playing a game but I’m just doing mundane tasks. It starts running high from the minute you turn on the computer. The graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce 860M windows 8.1

that's what happens when your GPU quits. Maybe the chip itself is dead and doesn't start (not even reporting error to the motherboard), maybe the VRM doesn't fire up so it doesn't get power etc

CPU: i7-2600K 4751MHz 1.44V (software) --> 1.47V at the back of the socket Motherboard: Asrock Z77 Extreme4 (BCLK: 103.3MHz) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 RAM: Adata XPG 2x8GB DDR3 (XMP: 2133MHz 10-11-11-30 CR2, custom: 2203MHz 10-11-10-26 CR1 tRFC:230 tREFI:14000) GPU: Asus GTX 1070 Dual (Super Jetstream vbios, +70(2025-2088MHz)/+400(8.8Gbps)) SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 256GB (main boot drive), Transcend SSD370 128GB PSU: Seasonic X-660 80+ Gold Case: Antec P110 Silent, 5 intakes 1 exhaust Monitor: AOC G2460PF 1080p 144Hz (150Hz max w/ DP, 121Hz max w/ HDMI) TN panel Keyboard: Logitech G610 Orion (Cherry MX Blue) with SteelSeries Apex M260 keycaps Mouse: BenQ Zowie FK1

This is what I was afraid of. Is there anyway I can fix this? I’m thinking of sending it in for repair but would they even be able to repair it since it’s integrated?

you probably can't

if the GPU itself is smoked then they can't, because they most likely dont have spare 860M GPUs to replace with. Even on GPUs that are available, removing the solder and soldering the new GPU back in is a lot of work and usually not worth repairing if it's out of warranty
