Overclocking

Could I over clock this system?

 

Model- Dell XPS 15 9575

CPU- Intel Core i7-8705G (Intel Core i7)

GPU- AMD RADEON RX VEGA M GL

not sure? i don't think you can oc the cpu, but maybe the gpu would work?

 

what happens when you start up msi afterburner?

I mostly just want to OC the GPU. I tried using MSI Afterburner, but none of my settings were applied even after I tried to apply them. I couldn't even do tests with Furmark.

Maybe it allows you to do that, i have no clue, but considering how thin that laptop is, then the temperatures are probably already at their limit to which it thermal throttles, so I wouldn't recommend it either way.

it's similar to a power limit, not sure if that's the case though, i'll let someone else answer your question because i don't have much knowledge on laptop overclocking
